Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa offers miniature golf, a full weight room and spa, hot tub suites, a marina with boat and personal watercraft rentals, and a summer concert series with a venue and line up of performers that rivals any other nation-wide. The Buckingham Golf and Country Club is a short 5 minute drive away from the resort as well, or take a scenic drive around the lake and sample world class wines from six different wineries. The most notable winery is the magnificent Ceago Del Lago winery located on the North Shore. In 2001 Jim Fetzer bought 270 acres along the lake between Nice and Lucerne, which was to be the setting of Ceago Del Lago. After watching property values double he bought another 1,200 acres and says, “I should have bought a lot more.” Since 2001 Fetzer has created a Mediterranean tropical paradise with vineyards, palm trees, and a compound that appeals to the eye and blends in perfectly with its surroundings.

Currently the tasting room is open daily, but Fetzer’s long-term vision for the property is Ceago Del Lago Wine Country Resort & Spa. He wants to develop an upscale planned development offering housing, hotel rooms, meeting space, spa, retail and restaurant space, and winemaking facilities. Ceago is only a taste of what Lake County wineries have to offer with Tulip Hill Winery across the highway and Steele and Guenoc Wineries in Kelseyville and Hidden Valley. The quality of wine, as well as the quality of life, are two more reasons people are discovering Lake County.
